LIMA
RAJUNTAY 5475 MSNM (3d/2n)
To speak about the Rajuntay is to speak about the main mountain of the Central
Andes that includes the limit between the departments of Lima and Junín. His
first ascent was made by the French marriage Marmillot in the decade of the 50.
It is a mountain with hard characteristics due to its unstable climate and
colossal dimensions comparing to its neighboring summits. This mountain
periodically receives a constant number of limean mountain climbers,
nevertheless are few those that manage to reach their top, which indicates that
to obtain it would mean a great personal profit for who tries it. Summit: 5474
