COLQUEPUNCU 5484 MASL (3d/2n)

It is located in the Vilcanota mountain range, in the Ayacachi junction. It is the tutelary mountain of the Qoyllority festivity. This festivity is one of the few in which one can see clearly the syncretism between the Incan and Catholic religion. This mountain has a little technical difficulty, it is recommended for the mountain climber who climbed some other mountains. Summit: 5484 masl (17,992 ft)

West Face Normal Route

Route “La arista”
This is another line by the East ridge. It varies between a degree IVº - Vº with some mixed sections.

• Minimum requirements:To stay some days before in Cusco, in order to get acclimatization.
• Season:May – September.
• Grade:AD+ / D; the hardets zone is 328,08 ft West wall 60ºuntil 70º
