PUNO

UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS  2D/1N
The highest navigable lake of the world, the Titicaca is very important in andean mythology, then according to the legend was here from where Manco Ccapac and Mama Ocllo emerged, the founders of the Empire Inca. With an area of 8559 Km2 lodges in its waters to more than 40 floating man made islands, constructed completely of reeds. The Taquile Island, the biggest in the lake is also an important place to be visited, the people here conserves their traditions, customs and laws of the inca time, its hospitality and charisma dazzles to all visitor. The trip towards the city of Puno begins in Cusco, we leave by a bus at 7 a.m., during our route that lasts 8 hours approximately we visit some interesting places, the beautiful colonial church of Andahuaylillas, called the Sistine of America; the inca temple of Raqchi and the aymara museum of Pukara, We arrive to Puno around 6 pm and we will be transferred to the hotel to continue the next day with a fabulous guided tour to meet the islands and their inhabitants, after 30 minutes by boat we arrive to the floating islands of the Uros, after visit them and see how this capable men made everything of reeds we continue towards the Taquile Island, here the friendly “taquileños” receives us and transfer to their main plaza, we will observe all the community in its daily weave workings, agriculture, pasturing. We will have lunch in a typical restaurant of the island and after visiting the important places we leave the island and go back to Puno.
