CUSCO

MACHUPICCHU
Machupicchu was the Inca city constructed by Pachacutec, it was a religious and politician center, it is an impressive example of Inca engineering that survives until today. We will visit this sacred city and its most important enclosures like the temple of the sun, the house of the guardian, the Intihuatana, the temple of the 3 windows, the main temple and its beautiful platforms where they inhabit calm llamas and alpacas.

Recently named as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, the surrounding landscape of this archaeological center is magician, it is surrounded by the Mountain range of Vilcabamba, the constructions are in the superior part of a gigantic granite formation with vertical walls in the edges of the archaeological center, using the same mountain as part of its structure, those great architects give us a model of perfection and enchantment.

We leave the city of Cusco very early, after an hour and a half we arrive to Ollantaytambo, considered as the unique inca living city, is here where we are going to take the train that cuts vertical defiles and leafy forests until arriving to Aguas Calientes and after half an hour by bus we will be in the Archaeological Center of Machupicchu to get a two hours interesting guided tour, then we will have free time to discover it by ourselves, before to go back to Aguas Calientes and have the train journey back Ollantaytambo and then to Cusco.
