CITY TOUR
Cusco, Archaeological Capital of America was the Capital of the Incas Empire and now is a true living museum; the city is located in South Eastern of the Andes, at 3,360 meters of altitude. Mixing the native and the Hispanic the city conserves many rest of that time. The tour starts at the impressive Colonial Cathedral of the city that contains nearly 400 colonial paintings, then we will visit the Temple of the Sun or Qorichancha; whose name means “gold enclosure” it because according to many chroniclers in their interior gold statues could be in natural size and the temples completely covered by gold and silver plates, it was the most important temple of the Inca time, if the city of Cusco were considered like the center of the world, the Qoricancha was the center of this center. The next place to be visited is Sacsayhuamán an archaeological center of cyclopean dimensions, conformed by immense stone blocks of up to 9 meters of height and over 190 tons in weigh and other archaeological inca centers near the city Tambomachay, Pucapucara y Qenqo, places used for the most important ceremonies and cults.
